Welcome to the Kansas Pharmacists Association
The Kansas Pharmacists Association was founded in 1880 and is one of the oldest statewide professional associations of pharmacists in the country. We have a long and proud history of representing pharmacists of all practice settings in Kansas. KPhA is the voice of pharmacy when it comes to legislative and regulatory issues before Kansas governmental officials. Our close ties to the KU School of Pharmacy and the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy allow us to anticipate challenges, embrace new technologies and take action as a team to meet those challenges all practice settings will encounter in the 21st century.
It's a New Day at KPhA
In 2009, KPhA reorganized its structure and governance to better meet the needs of all Kansas pharmacists. Our reorganization resulted in the formation of seven different academy practice settings. Pharmacist members from each of these academies have elected a fellow pharmacist to represent the academy on the KPhA Board of Directors. In addition, four pharmacist representatives from four geographic regions in the state that roughly follow our US Congressional districts represent the pharmacists in our geographically diverse state.
